Our May 2008 edition features an exclusive interview and pictures with Jane Asher.
Jane Asher was born on April 5th 1946. She has a brother Peter and a sister Claire. Her ancestor is none other than King Richard III, so to say she is a ‘privileged’ person is a bit of an understatement! They all got involved with the performing arts, and Jane started acting in 1951 appearing in the film Mandy. Peter went into music and became one half of the musical act Peter & Gordon.
She starred in Alfie and Look Back In Anger on the stage in the West End, and married Garald Scarfe (the illustrator who designed the cover of Pink Floyd’s The Wall). They had three children (Kate, born April 17, 1974; Alexander, born December 1981; Rory, born in 1984).
