Iron Age living history at Michelham Priory
Celebrate the rich heritage of Celtic people living in Sussex 2000 years ago in the grounds of Michelham Priory. The educational re-enactment group ‘Hands on History’ will demonstrate replica Celtic warrior, Romano-British auxiliary and full-blown Roman legionary armour and weaponry. They will also have a working ballista, army tent and equipment plus a series of talks about the equipment, times and people.
